Skirmish at the Bank - Rahul Vyas

$9,400.00

Edition of 9

In "Skirmish at the Bank", sculptor Rahul Vyas captures a rare and dramatic encounter between two apex predators — a lioness and a crocodile — frozen in a split second of raw instinct. Muscles tensed, jaws engaged, this is not a scene of dominance or death, but of survival and mutual respect in the wild.

Unlike many predator-prey narratives, this composition explores a different truth of nature: that conflict does not always end in conquest. The lioness, a creature of the land, and the crocodile, sovereign of the water, meet at the threshold of their domains in a sudden clash of wills. Rendered with striking anatomical precision and emotion, this piece speaks to the constant negotiation of territory in the animal kingdom. It’s a confrontation full of energy — a skirmish that ends not in victory, but in retreat. Both creatures live to see another day, each retreating back to the edge of its own world.
